亚博体育官网鈥檚 sustainability event, 鈥淥ur Campus, Our World,鈥 will take place on campus as part of Climate Week North East 2025. The event will showcase 亚博体育官网鈥檚 progress toward climate action, biodiversity, and sustainable innovation through a dynamic programme of activities, talks, and exhibitions.
Organised by 亚博体育官网鈥檚 Sustainability Team, the event invites students, staff, and the wider community to explore how the university is leading the way in environmental responsibility and climate resilience.
Our Campus, Our World is a celebration of the incredible work happening across 亚博体育官网 to support a more sustainable future. We鈥檙e excited to welcome the community to campus and share our journey toward net zero and biodiversity enhancement.

Bike Reuse and Repair
Looking for a bike? Stop by our refurbished bike sale between 11:00-15:00 for a deal. Money raised goes towards Stella鈥檚 Voice.

Waterside Farm Tours
Come and learn about the ongoing transformation of Waterside Farm, one of the largest biodiversity projects on a university campus in Scotland. As this is off site, booking is require:

Discover the nature and biodiversity on our very doorstep as well as features around campus that are helping reduce our carbon footprint.
Sustainability Stalls
Hosted by a number of our Schools and external partners including Aramark demonstrating sustainable food waste, EIS Waste Services, First Bus and their low emission vehicles, insulation techniques from Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment, School of Pharmacy, Applied Sciences and Public Health research projects, alongside our student group and a pop-up Kaim Shop, as well as giveaways from the campus orchard.
Poster Exhibition
Achieving Net Zero: a fantastic poster collection created by 亚博体育官网鈥檚 own Iain Morrison and Professor James Njuguna which present in an engaging and informative way issues and challenges to achieving net zero and insight into existing power sources. The posters have been developed with Aberdeen Science Centre and many feature 亚博体育官网 research.
Biodiversity Photo Competition: the 5 entries which have been shortlisted for award for the inaugural biodiversity photo competition.
Talks and Screenings
A collection of 15 minute talks and films on microplastics, the 2024 flooding in Valencia, Digital Twin Technology, a documentary on the North Sea energy鈥檚 transition towards Net Zero and the grand final of our Biodiversity Photo Competition winners!
